FUN WITH THE COLOR OF THE MONTH

November; leaves are changing rapidly and the cold winter wind is starting to chase away those warm October days. Our color this month is a rich claret red, an intense saturated color that inspires passion, depth and strength. Claret red may help you stay inspired as you build on your dreams and ambitions by increasing your perception, persistence and drive.

The birthstone for this month is Topaz or its alternate, Citrine. November born Scorpio’s personality is intensely passionate, they need their own private thinking space, and are fiercely loyal. Colors for Topaz range from colorless, through deep sherry yellow, orange, pink, red and even blue! A very abundant stone, you can have beautiful jewelry at an affordable price.

As stated earlier, Scorpios are intense and exceedingly perceptive, often picking up on the unspoken word through the language of gesture. (Remember Claret Red may help increase perception.) They are insatiably curious and take very seriously their mission to learn about others. They love to probe and get to the bottom of things and are often successful executives. Fearless Scorpions rarely lose, per se, they keep moving forward, are stubborn and determined to succeed.

In the world of Feng Shui, the colors red, pink, orange and yellow are on the south and southwest section of the diagram called the Ba-Gua. The south section represents reputation and fame, while the southwest section is the love, relationship and marriage area. In the south, the element is fire, the color red. The red of a full bodied claret would be good here.

Channeling good Chi in this area leads to self confidence which leads to success and goal attainments, which leads to more success and so on. In the southwest, the colors are pink, orange, and yellow. These colors help Chi flow in affection with pink, inspiring passion with red or orange, and yellow creates deep and lasting friendship.

Now I’m not saying you should paint entire rooms in Claret Red or Orange or even Pink, what I am saying is these colors can be used as an accent wall or as accessories in a room. Even in a painting on the wall. Think of how colors affect your life and how they make you feel. When the colors in your home are balanced, your home becomes the replenishing , relaxing sanctuary it should be.
